The value of additional litter boxes for cats: Let's give more places for cats to pee and poop
What can we do daily, even once an hour, to improve the lives of cats who live with us?
Remove poop and pee from the litter box.
Two kittens taught me a lesson. They are part of a grooup of four kittens who were born together and we sleep in a room measuring 12 feet by 11 feet. There is one litter box. That box has at least 5 contributions by 3 a.m. So I got up early to feed some outside gats. By the time I returned to my home, two of the kittens had found two other litter boxes in the kitchen and left some pee pods. They were so grateful to find a clean litter box that they walked more than 55 feet (17 meters) to get to these extra litter boxes.
I LEARNED TWO LESSONS: (1) add another litter box to the bedroom
(2) Clean the litter boxes more often than once a day. How about "as soon as you wake up, Steve?"
"OUR CATS"
Really? If anyone owns anyone, the cats own me. "The cats who live with me" sounds more accurate than "my cats."
